Meet Dr. Wadhwa
Dr. Gary Wadhwa is an internationally-known expert in all aspects of oral surgery including full-mouth reconstruction, oral implantology, maxillofacial and craniofacial surgery, and dental technology. He also specializes in surgeries involving oral sedation. He received his D.D.S. from the Government Medical and Dental College in Amritsar, Punjab Province, India in 1975 and spent the following two years in post-graduate training in oral surgery and anesthesiology. He is board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery, dental anesthesiology, and dental implantology and is a platinum award from the Dental Society of the State of New York. Currently Dr. Wadhwa serves as the Director of the Empire State Academy of Continuing Dental Education and is an Assistant Professor at the Albany Medical Center and St. Peter’s Hospital, as well as Staff Surgeon, Chairman, and Division Head of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Albany Memorial Hospital and the Staff Surgeon of the Craniofacial Surgery Center at St. Peter’s Hospital, both in Albany, NY.
Dr. Wadhwa is member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry,International Congress of Oral Implantology American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Health Volunteers Overseas, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
In addition to his dental practice and work in dental education, Dr. Wadhwa is also the author of Dentistry With a Vision, as well as several journal articles and chapters in academic books, including on the application of artificial intelligence in dentistry. In his spare time, Dr. Wadhwa enjoys karate and is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
